S-Rare Antique Lady Head Brass Letter Opener

Made in India, this s-rare or "scarce" unusually rare item comes from the 1930s to 1940s Art Deco period.  The handle is adorned with a classical-style head, likely meant to represent a mythological or historical figure with a helmet-like crown.  The blade itself is beautifully etched with a ornate, repeating foliate pattern design.
